Tyrel & Rhea Pole own and operate TR Performance Horses located in Sallisaw, OK.
Natives of Canada, Tyrel and Rhea relocated their business to Oklahoma in 2010 after getting a solid start in their homeland and determining their goals and deciding to make the leap into their dreams!
Tyrel handles the training and instruction at TR. His father Kevin Pole is a 21 time Canadian National Champion in seven different events. Tutoring under his father for his youth, gave Ty skills in many disciplines from Cutting and Ranch Work to Western Pleasure and English. Venturing out on his own he spent some time working for Dave & Rieky Young of the Netherlands, Carl Gerwin, a noted Canadian Cutting Horseman, and Steve and Carl Metcalf among others.
As a youth, Rhea captured many titles and championships in Western Canada and the Northern USA in Non Pro competition. After graduating high school, she moved to Oklahoma to work for Dean Latimer of Ardmore. She went on to work for Jordan Larson, Casey Hinton and Tom McCutcheon.
Currently located at PKM Ranch in East-Central Oklahoma, Ty & Rhea welcomed their daughter Madisyn Rose in March 2011. Rhea has now begun the process of regaining her Non-Pro status and handles the management of the business as well as Breeding Management and Stallion care. Tyrel continues to provide Training, Clinics, Lessons and Coaching specializing in Working Cow Horse, Reining and Cutting and also accepting Western Pleasure and All Around horses.
PKM Ranch is owned by fellow Canadians Jim & Pat Andersen. It boasts a huge outdoor track, a 125 x 250 indoor arena, 25 stalls, large grass turnouts for the show horses and a covered round pen and breeding lab. We also love to offer to our mares and foals continuous grazing on the 80+ acres of grassland.
